We have a bar that divides the kitchen and tv room and had some older but good high back bar chairs (2) on the kitchen side...we wanted to upgrade the tv side with two more chairs and bought these...the backs are lower than our older chairs and liked that look better, so ordered 2 more. These are really good looking chairs and we like the lower backs as they don't break up the view past the bar....Very pleased with the look. They don't mention in the discription that there is a brass plate around the foot area which really looks nice. The seating is very ample and seem to be very sturdy. - Carol the decorator
