1 user rated out of 5 starsI bought this for my 3 year old son as his first real "big boy" bed. It took my wife and I about 90 minutes to put it together. It was pretty simple to put together. We went with the platform bed so he couldn't crawl under a typical bed. The edges of the platform bed are pretty hard and pointy so he's banged his legs a few times running around the room. The bed also doesn't attach to the headboard so you just have to push it together against a wall. I expect this bed will last him until he chooses to get a regular box spring and bed frame. He's had no trouble sleeping on it. It has cross frames under the mattress but when he gets older we might have to add some additional support. All in all a good first bed for any kid. - Jim
