I purchased this chair for my 86 year old mother. She has to stay in a chair with her feet up. She has a recliner/lift chair that she sits in most of the time. She loves this glider chair. It gives her a comfortable alternative to sit in. She loves the gliding motion along with the gliding ottoman witch is a very big plus for her. (Keeping her feet up) Most chairs were more expensive with out the ottoman. So this was a great deal for us. - Nake

this glider is perfect for the nursing mother .. one great plus is the 'lock in place 'handle that allows you to get out of the chair without the gliding motion..wood stain was more reddish than appeared but decided to keep it - susie
