We just moved into a new house with a huge kitchen island with seating area on two sides. Our floors are a distressed dark wood and no finished stools that we looked at would match very well. We got the idea that if we could get unfinished stools and pull some of the color out of the rooms walls and other furniture that this would be perfect. We got the stools painted them using some of the left over accent wall paint, and the results were perfect! The stools are very sturdy, they were not simple to put together, but they were not overly difficult, I probably put 4 together in an hour, but you will need a cordless drill to help with getting the seat fastened to the chair, it comes with wood screws and no pre-drilled holes, so it really would be tough with just a screwdriver. Other than that these were well worth it, and the best part was that they were less expensive than what we expected to pay!!! - Gracies Dad

I love the fact that these barstools come unfinished so you can match the stain or paint that goes with your decor. I have searched for months for a barstool in the right "color" with no luck, until I came across this one. I was concerned about the quality and sturdiness, but when they arrived I was SO pleased. The back with the design is even thicker than I had pictured, and I believe they will hold up to my children very well. Also, the shipping was very fast - I was surprised to see them on my doorstep so soon. Very pleased customer!! - Cottage Girl

We have 3 13-year old stools and when we expanded kitchen island, weren't real confident in finding same stool. Slight variation, but only in legs. We are tickled to only spend on 3 stools instead of 6. And these stools are so well made, back then, and even now! And just the fact we've had 3 for so long, just paint touch up, says a lot for the product. Rush seats still like new. - JakesPlaceinNC
