The room is large so both frames fit very well in the room in upright and sleeping position. The frame is a very beautiful rich dark wood. It looks very nice in the room. It was a little awkward at first for me setting up the bed position, but my grandchildren seem to not have a problem. Very happy with my purchase. However, if you need detailed instructions to assemble, find someone who has mechanical skills and strength. I had a lot of screws left over because the metal frame didn't line up. - KK
