I just ordered the dresser, without the nightstands because we were going to add our own shelves along our bedside but as soon as we saw this piece, we decided to get the nightstands to match. It's got a beautiful brown/black/cherry color that would go well with other very dark furniture pieces. There was no assembly since it came that way - what a relief. I would recommend this to ANYONE in a heartbeat. The ONLY (and small) con is that while there is velvet/felt lining on the top drawers, there aren't any in the bottom drawers. Make sure you want to pile clothes or beddings in the drawers though, as these aren't really for makeup etc since the drawers are deep down. I am very happy I bought it. And, it looks better than in the picture - how often is that really ever the case? - DT in the city
